KUCHING, 4 Nov: Sarawak's public service administration and delivery system gained international recognition when it was described as the best model for other countries to follow.

Sarawak Prime Minister, Datuk Tinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the recognition was presented to the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) Dean Drago Kos during a recent meeting with him.

According to Abang Johari, Sarawak's approach which includes the efficiency of public service delivery and involvement of Certified Integrity Officers (CeIO) is seen as best practice that can be exemplified on a global scale.

"He (Drago) characterized Sarawak's public service administration and delivery system, including the involvement of Certified Integrity Officers (CeIO), as a legitimate model to be followed by other countries around the world", he said.

He said this while delivering the mandate for Sarawak Public Care Day and SCSICA Awards 2026, at Borneo Kuching Convention Centre (BCCK) here, today.

He said the recognition also opened up an opportunity for Sarawak to share its experience and expertise internationally through IACA's invitation for his inaugural address in Vienna, Austria.

The statement is expected to highlight the success of Sarawak administration's approach, particularly in strengthening integrity, improving management efficiency and establishing government service delivery system. - TVS
