BINTULU, Oct 19: A man and a six-month-old baby boy escaped unhurt following a single-vehicle road accident at Taman Tinggi, here on Monday night (Oct 19).

According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a team from the Bintulu station were deployed after receiving an emergency call about the accident at 9.53pm.

Upon arrival at 10.05pm, firefighters found that members of the public had assisted both victims.

The baby was taken to hospital by family members for further medical examination, although neither victim was reported to have sustained any injuries.

Firefighters then carried out clean-up operations to clear the accident debris and ensure the scene was safe and under control.

The operation was fully concluded at 10.28pm. The police were also present at the scene. — DayakDaily
