17 individuals were detained in AADK Kuching Prevention Ops

KUCHING, 27 Oct: A total of 17 individuals were arrested in the Prevention Ops conducted by the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Kuching District in cooperation with Sarawak State AADK yesterday.

According to the Kuching District AADK, among the areas inspected are Bintawa Village, Chawan Road, Hui Sing Park, Sri Wangi Park and Matang Batu 10.

"The operation also covers Semerah Padi, Taman Dahlia Matang and surrounding areas. A total of 13 OKT seizures were recorded during the operation.

"All persons concerned were detained under Section 3 (1) of the Narcotics and Substance Abuse (Rehabilitation and Recovery) Act 1983", the statement said.

AADK Kuching District will continue enforcement efforts with AADK Sarawak State to curb drug abuse and protect the welfare of society.
