KUCHING, 17 Oct: Kuching FA beat Miri FA 7-0 in the second quarter-final match of Sarawak 2026 Premier League South Zone here today, thus strengthening the team's confidence to reach the final.
Kuching FA manager Zulfiqqar Fahdzely Randy said the victory was a result of effective tactical execution as well as high commitment shown by players throughout the match.
He said the team is now focused on preparing for the FA Series in the next action to maintain the momentum of victory.
"We are expected to meet the FA Series in the next leg and have faced the team in Premier League competitions before.
"We hope to maintain the momentum of victory and, God willing, if there's any chance, go to the final", he said when met after the match today.
Zulfiqqar said that the rigorous preparations will be made with a focus on player fitness level and tactical posture to ensure teams are at their best.
He hopes that Kuching FA will be able to maintain consistent performances in their efforts to advance to the final stage.
