KUCHING, 17 Oct: A total of 18 teams under 14 and under 16 participated in the PETRONAS 2026 Youth Indoor Soccer Tournament for PSK 14 and PSK 16 categories which opened curtains at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Bintulu Football Stadium today.
According to PETRONAS in a statement, the Bintulu edition of the tournament involves nine teams for each category, with matches taking place over the weekend until next November 7.
PETRONAS said the programme reflects the company's continued commitment to youth development and community building through sports, as well as providing opportunities for young Sarawak talents to step up.
The Under-14 and Under-16 category tournaments were also held in Kuching, starting on September 27, as well as Mukah on October 10.
The top two teams in each category will qualify for the 2026 PETRONAS Youth Football Champions League, which is scheduled to take place from 7 to 13 December.
