Satok 7.0 feast focuses on community unity

KUCHING, 19 Oct: Fiesta Satok 7.0 2026 becomes a platform to strengthen neighborhood ties and foster community unity through various sports, recreation, creativity and social activities.

The two-day program from October 17 to 18 at Satok Community Sports Complex brought together the community of Mesra N8 Satok Neighborhood.

The inaugural council was completed by the Director of North Kuching City Council (DBKU), Ramzi Abdillah, as a sign of support for efforts to develop an active and harmonious community.

According to DBKU, the Inside-Out theme of the festival is also a platform for highlighting community talent and creativity, as well as promoting cooperation and fostering friendship.

"Some of the activities organized include ping-pong competitions, pickleball, Mobile Legends, karaoke, patchwork, Fiesta Satok Fun Walk and gymnastics.

"Turut held a chicken cooking contest, fashion shows of used goods, children's coloring competitions as well as a rubber or slingshot competition", the statement said.

The promotion of the fiesta reflects the role of the Mesra Neighborhood (KJM) as DBKU's strategic partner in promoting community engagement and forming a united community.
