KUCHING: Sarawak gymnast Audi Zulkarnaen is in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, as Malaysia’s Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) team prepares for the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships.

Sarawak Gymnastics Association (SAGYMA) president Johnny Tan, who is managing the Malaysian team, was also present during the team’s podium training at Ahoy Stadium.

The championships run from Oct 17 to 25, bringing together gymnasts from around the world to compete on the international stage.

The podium training session allowed the gymnasts to familiarise themselves with the apparatus and competition arena ahead of their events.

In a social media post today (Oct 17), SAGYMA expressed its support for the Malaysian contingent, particularly Audi, as the team takes on the international competition.

“From Sarawak to the world stage — keep going, keep fighting, for Malaysia! Agi Idup Agi Ngelaban (as long as I live, I will fight),” it said.

The association said Audi’s presence at the event highlights Sarawak’s connection to the national gymnastics scene, while the championships provide a platform for athletes and officials to contribute to the development of the sport in Malaysia.
