KUCHING, 14 Oct: All schools and educational institutions under the supervision of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Sarawak will operate as usual tomorrow.
The State Education Department (JPN) of Sarawak in a statement announced that it will provide up-to-date information if there is any change regarding the status of school operation.
"However, schools in areas with an Air Pollution Index (IPU) above 100 should stop all outdoor activities involving students and students.
"Students and students attending the school are also encouraged to wear face masks as a health care measure following the severe weather that is still affecting some areas in Sarawak", the statement said today.
Parents and guardians are also allowed not to send their children to school if they fear that the poor conditions could affect their health provided they inform the school authorities.
JPN Sarawak stressed that the health, safety and well-being of all education citizens has always been a priority for the department.
